The Bierpinsel, Berlin

This is the Bierpinsel. Built in the Steglitz neighbourhood of Berlin in the 70’s, it is so called because it looks like a beer brush. Over it’s life it has functioned as a night club and restaurant but has been shut since 2006. The paint job at the time of our visit was a result of Turmkunst 2010, where a number of graffiti artists painted the exterior. Sadly it seems to have taken on a new look since our visit and doesn’t quite have the same visual impact.
